Meet Ericka

Hello! I'm Ericka Freeman, a licensed therapist and social work supervisor with over 20 years of practice experience and 12 years of higher education instructional experience.  In short form, I'm well seasoned!  From child welfare and adult inpatient mental health to home-served hospice and play therapy with children with life limiting illnesses, I have a plethora of social work skills, roles and stories. I've served on community boards, testified in court, presented at conferences and spent many an hour alongside clients in jails, hospitals, and homeless shelters. However, the best place I've found in my profession is here, in private therapy practice.

Here's a snippet about me, as a person:

I live in East Texas with my husband and two unruly hound dogs.  I am fortunate to have my two beautiful, adult daughters and their husbands living only blocks away.  I am quirky and enjoy listening to 80s rock, attempting to garden, canning, playing trivia at our local BBQ joint, and bargain shopping.   When I'm not  providing mental health support to clients, I am helping educate the minds of future social workers.

I look forward to meeting you!
